As a Consultant Psychologist, I aim to help people work toward value-driven goals that make a real impact on their quality of life. I believe in being flexible, structuring the sessions in response to the needs of the individual. Working together, we can develop tools and strategies that are suited to your circumstances and make effective use of your personal strengths. I have supported people with a broad range of challenges, from workplace related issues to parenting concerns, grief and loss, relationship concerns, trauma, and substance-use/addiction. Whether the personal conflict is internal or environmental in nature, my approach involves working with the person to explore the situation, set goals for treatment, and provide relevant evidence-based support that is purposeful and productive.

Dr Lutza Ireland
Registered Psychologist
BSc (Hons) Psych, PhD
Most people I work with are balancing demanding careers, family responsibilities, caring roles and major life transitions. They are often the rock that everyone relies on and want to do their best, even when feeling overwhelmed or burnt out. When the strategies that have worked in the past are no longer enough, I provide practical, collaborative and evidence-based therapy for stress, anxiety and life transitions, including workplace stress, burnout and return-to-work adjustment. For adults seeking assessment for Autism and ADHD, I offer strengths-based, neurodiversity-affirming assessments using evidence-based psychometric questionnaires and structured clinical interviews. As an Autistic and ADHD psychologist, I'm experienced working with high-masking adults who may wonder whether they are "too successful", "coping too well" or don't fit common stereotypes of Autism or ADHD. This includes women, LGBTQIA+ individuals and people from diverse cultural backgrounds. Reports are provided within three business days, regardless of diagnostic outcome. Post-diagnostic support, workplace disclosure decisions and reasonable adjustment processes can also be explored following assessment.

Gemma Frost
Clinical Psychologist
Master of Psychology (Clinical Psychology), Bachelor of Behavioural Science (Honours I)
As a psychologist, I support people to achieve their full potential in their chosen life pursuits. I enjoy working with dancers and performing artists, as my personal training in dance provides insight into the physical and mental pressure placed upon pre-professional and professional performing artists. My experience in multiple high-pressure settings has led to an interest in how people adapt to difficult environments – and more important, how they can thrive within them. I believe that therapy is a partnership where therapist and client work together towards shared goals. I will always respect your experience and aim to create a space where you feel safe to explore your thoughts and emotions. I will use my knowledge and experience to choose a therapeutic modality that will be most helpful for you. I believe in using feedback constructively and aim to develop a transparent and constructive relationship.

Clinical Psychologist
Doctor of Psychology – Clinical, Master of Clinical Psychology, Graduate Diploma in Clinical Psychology, Graduate Diploma in Organisational Psychology, Bachelor of Behavioural Science
As a Clinical Psychologist, I support my clients to move from the suffering that is found 'below the baseline' of life satisfaction in the form of psychological disorders such as anxiety and depression. In my capacity as a Executive Coach I support my clients to move 'beyond the baseline' of life satisfaction in their pursuit of performance and wellbeing. My clients often have high expectations of themselves and those they entrust with the support of their personal development. I'm no different from the clients I see with respect to my personal development. I've been through both wonderful and difficult experiences that have shaped who I am and how I practice. My greatest mental health challenge has been the management of generalised and performance based anxiety. As a golfer my hands would shake so much in tournament play that I struggled to get the ball on the tee. At University my exam results suffered because of performance anxiety. It is my observation that personal experiences with mental health challenges rarely have no impact on the effectiveness of a therapist. Your experience either confounds or improves your ability. I believe that my experience is an asset as I have learned to effectively manage anxiety and understand how it feels to be highjacked by a negative change in emotional and physiological state. Consultations with me will provide you with the space to explore your thoughts, feelings, and goals. In feeling safe and comfortable, you'll be able to gain clarity and be understood and heard. It's important to me to ensure that the process is collaborative and focus on setting goals and working on reaching them together. There isn't a 'one size fits all' approach to therapy. Our sessions will fit your specific needs and concerns.

In my capacity as a Psychologist, I aim to provide a safe, non-judgmental and empathetic context that will allow for positive change and progress toward your goals for therapy. I have a particular interest in supporting university students and new graduates as they navigate internships and student placements. My intention is to create a therapeutic environment where we can progress at a pace that feels comfortable for you. Central to my therapeutic style is the belief that any difficulty you may be facing should not define you as a person. My primary goal is to collaborate with each of my clients, fostering a transparent and trusting therapeutic relationship. I was drawn to psychology because of my desire to work with people. Yes, I thought about real estate, HR – people & culture, and a multitude of other relationship focussed careers but was drawn to psychology because of the satisfaction and engagement that I derive from doing 'deep work' with people. There is nothing more satisfying to me than playing a role in assisting my clients to progress toward their recovery and life goals.

Sophia Armitage
Psychologist
Master of Psychology (Clinical Psychology), Bachelor of Behavioural Science (Honours I)
I am a Registered Psychologist who is experienced in working with adolescents, young adults, and adults with a range of complex mental health presentations. I also have experience working with a range of desired outcomes, from alleviating distress to enhancing wellbeing. I have a particular interest in guiding clients through subconscious barriers to reaching their goals, both personally and professionally. I work from an evidence-based and solution-focused mindset that encompasses exploring psychological pressure points and developing insight. I have found past and present emotional experiences to be a significant resource to draw from to improve outcomes and quality of life, which often seem to be overlooked in a cognitively driven world. Through applying this lens to my own personal development, I am familiar with the struggle of bringing forward that which may be painful; however, I am also familiar with the strength gained from developing the ability to recognise and understand all parts of myself. I feel it is important to ensure a collaborative process in developing a treatment plan, and to consider factors such as goals, approach, pace, and timeline. I am passionate about improving the lives of my clients and those around me, and feel this passion married with my knowledge and skill is paramount to the work that I do.

Katrina Sheehan
Relationship Counsellor
Master of Counselling (specializing in couples therapy), Graduate Diploma in Counselling
In my work as a relationship counsellor, I view the relationship in the room as my client. I aim to create a space for both voices and perspectives to be heard and felt understood in a safe and judgment free environment. The value of being seen and understood cannot be underestimated. In relationships, while we don't have to agree on everything, we can still feel heard and acknowledge. I started my career supporting new parents and caregivers in their life transition to parenthood. Having gone through birth trauma myself and struggling to find a new norm in my own relationship with my husband, finding the space to understand together our perspectives and dig deeper into our struggles and vulnerabilities opened up the window to a renewed, closer relationship. My upbringing and personal relationship struggles are no different to other relationships. It is though lived experience of help seeking and growth that I believe I am able to normalise the very real struggles people are facing and offer an empathic experience. Inspired to drive change, I have shifted my focus in attending to the heart of everything – relationships; siblings, colleagues, couples, husbands and wives, partners regardless of gender, race, or relationship status.

Kate Wheeler
Psychologist
Master of Science Conversion (Psychology), Bachelor of Arts with First Class Honours (Visual Art), Graduate, Australian Institute of Company Directors Course
I work with individuals and couples to improve relationships and provide support through challenges such as anxiety, depression, conflict, betrayal, communication differences, parenting issues, trauma, stress/burnout, work issues and life changes. I have a special interest in an existential framework which proposes that our freedom as individuals is in our ability to choose how we respond to life's challenges – both the minor everyday ones and the big, high-stakes ones. The aim of therapy is to create that space of freedom by understanding our past, our present, and what we dare to hope for in our future. For couples counselling I utilise the well-regarded and research-based Gottman Method. I take a client-centred approach to all therapy processes. Understanding you and working with you to make sense of the world you inhabit is my focus. Cultivating an attitude of curiosity, authenticity, openness (non-judgement), and empathy is a priority.

In addition to providing treatment for a range of presentations (anxiety disorders, body image concerns, adjustment difficulties, performance blockages and relationship problems), I have a particular interest in health psychology, a domain of practice that pertains to the interplay between physical and mental problems. Staying abreast of advancements in psychological treatments coupled with the satisfaction derived from supporting clients toward achieving important life goals serves to maintain my high level of engagement and passion for the practice of psychology. My approach to working with clients has been strongly influenced by my training in psychodynamic treatment approaches that are sensitive to the influence that unconscious processes have on our mental health, performance and wellbeing. A comprehensive psychodynamic treatment takes into account multiple domains of experience and functioning: that which occurs within one's mind and also what happens between individuals, families, teams, and systems. After years of working in clinical psychology, I worked in the corporate sector as CEO and Creative Director for an IT business coaching multidisciplinary teams and developing strategies to build the performance capability of the organization.

Dr Erin Wolfe
Clinical Psychologist

As a clinical psychologist, I support people to manage and overcome challenges in their life that are affecting their ability to live a full and meaningful life. This includes mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression and other mood concerns, stress, grief and loss, and relationship concerns. I also provide support to those looking to adjust to life changes or improve their overall wellbeing and mental health. I aim to create a compassionate, open and positive environment where clients can feel supported, valued, and empowered. I have experience working across both public (hospital and community) and private settings with children, youth, adults and families. This has spanned work with improving mental wellness, treating severe and complex mental illness, and working with both children, young people and adults with serious and chronic physical illness and co-existing physical and mental health challenges.

As a clinical psychologist I have worked extensively with trauma, abuse and neglect both past and present and as well as those experiencing symptoms consistent with PTSD, Complex PTSD, Depression, Anxiety as well as Bipolar and stabilised Psychotic disorders. My therapeutic aim is to provide a space that is safe, compassionate, free of judgement, supportive and collaborative, to encourage exploration of issues, increase insight and awareness, to empower growth and change and build resilience. My professional approach draws from my training as a clinical psychologist as well as my personal experience of trauma and the struggles this created in my life. I completed my initial training in Melbourne before working as a psychologist in Darwin, Port Hedland and Kalgoorlie. This early work provided a deep understanding of the challenges experienced by those living remotely particularly Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and established a strong motivation to improve life chances for those experiencing socioeconomic disadvantage.

Clinical Psychologist
Doctorate of Clinical Psychology, Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (Hons)
In my professional capacity as a Clinical Psychologist I have extensive experience working in both private and public health settings with adolescents, adults and families facing a range of difficulties including depression, anxiety, stress, chronic medical conditions, grief and trauma. In particular, I have a special interest in the impact of trauma or life stressors on the perception of self and how this contributes to problematic coping mechanisms. I have had training and experience in both private practice and Queensland Health and was previously placed at the Royal Brisbane Women's Hospital where I gained experience providing psychological interventions to both inpatients and outpatients with both medical and psychological diagnoses. During this time, I had the opportunity of providing psychological support to patients on the waiting list for Bariatric Surgery, and this is where my passion for eating disorders and body image difficulties began.
