What’s included
Every assessment produces two documents.
One answers the diagnostic question. The other is about you: how you think, communicate and experience the world, and what to do with that.
Your Neurodiversity Guide
A practical explanation of your individual thinking, communication and sensory profile: your strengths, your challenges, and the strategies and tools you can use.
You receive both documents whether or not the assessment results in an Autism or ADHD diagnosis.

A 50% deposit is payable at the time of booking. Appointments are typically available within 1–2 weeks.
Assessments are conducted by an AHPRA-registered psychologist at our Teneriffe clinic in inner-city Brisbane, minutes from New Farm, Newstead, Fortitude Valley, Bowen Hills and the Brisbane CBD. Telehealth appointments are available anywhere in Australia. Adult ADHD and autism assessment in Brisbane is for people aged 18 and over, and follows DSM-5-TR criteria.

What is a neurodiversity-affirming assessment?
Neurodiversity affirming means we believe different kinds of minds are a natural and valuable part of being human. We see the unique traits of Autism and ADHD as different, not less, and appreciate both the strengths and challenges that come with how people think, feel and communicate.
Do you assess high-masking or high-performing adults?
Yes. We have experience with adults whose Autism or ADHD may be less obvious because they mask, compensate, or perform highly at work, study or in other areas of life.
Do you review or reassess previous Autism or ADHD assessments?
Yes. We can review or reassess a previous diagnosis or non-diagnosis, including when an earlier assessment felt rushed, unclear, incomplete, or didn't leave you feeling confident that the outcome fits your experiences.
Can the assessment help with workplace or study adjustments?
Yes. Your assessment includes practical recommendations for work regardless of diagnosis. More detailed workplace adjustment assessment or documentation can be arranged separately if required.
Do I need a GP referral?
No, you're welcome to self-refer.
How long does the whole process take?
Typically around 1–2 weeks from enquiry to final results, depending on appointment availability and completion of the assessment steps.
What if I don't have school reports or someone who knew me as a child?
That's okay. Collateral information is helpful but isn't essential for an adult diagnosis.
Can I claim Medicare?
No, these are private assessments.
Can I use this ADHD diagnosis to access stimulant medication?
Not directly. Only a psychiatrist or specialist GP can prescribe stimulant medication. A psychologist's ADHD diagnosis can provide useful clinical information for the prescriber, but it does not provide automatic access to medication.
