Dr Aindri Jayasinghe

Aindri has extensive experience working in both the public and private sectors, with a range of psychological issues. She works predominantly with adults who have endured traumatic experiences spanning from acute incidents such as road traffic accidents and assaults, to sudden loss, and chronic experiences of childhood abuse and neglect.

Aindri views counselling as an important part of holistic wellbeing and through her work, addresses both the psychological and physiological imprints of trauma. She adopts an approach that integrates neurobiological, cognitive behavioural, developmental, psychodynamic, and inter-relational frameworks, along with EMDR and mindfulness practices to bridge the body and the mind. She has also trained rigorously in existential phenomenological psychotherapy.

Through her sessions, Aindri offers her clients a safe space to explore whatever feels important to them, providing assistance in finding ways to navigate life in the face of devastating events and challenging times. She works collaboratively with her clients to understand their situation and examine ways to open up new possibilities to live more fully, and with greater ease.

Aindri aims to always maintain the highest professional and ethical standards, and is committed to on-going professional development.
